Tripmaxx Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 July 2026

Tripmaxx turns your travel photos and walks into short recap videos. It is built to keep your data on your device. We do not run servers, we do not have accounts, and we never upload your photos, videos, location or audio to us. This policy explains exactly what the app reads, what stays on your device, and the few cases where data leaves your device — and to whom.

What the app reads

What stays on your device

Trip detection, offline city lookup, map compositing and video rendering run on your device. Drafts and finished videos are stored locally. After an export, Tripmaxx automatically adds the finished recap to Photos if you grant add access; it shares content with other people or apps only when you ask.

When data leaves your device

Tripmaxx has no backend of its own and never uploads your library or walk trace to the developer. Apart from content you explicitly send through the system Share Sheet, data can reach external services only in the cases below:

The developer receives none of this data. There is no analytics SDK, advertising or third-party tracking in the app.

Data retention & deletion

Drafts, rendered videos and imported music remain until you delete them. You can delete a recap from My Recaps, or delete all recaps, imported music and reproducible caches from Settings. Deleting the app removes its local data from the device. Neither action removes a recap already saved to Photos. iOS manages any device-backup copies under Apple's retention rules.

Children

Tripmaxx is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
